Located in the province of Cuneo, on the border with the Langhe, Biraghi S.p.A. was founded in 1934 by Ferruccio Biraghi.
From an artisan dairy it soon acquired advanced technology, becoming a modern and innovative company synonymous with high quality and goodness not only in Italy, but internationally.
The plants of Biraghi S.p.A. are located in Piedmont, in Cavallermaggiore, province of Cuneo and cover an area of 166,500 square meters.
All the manufacturing processes take place inside, from the collection of milk to the final production of GranBiraghi cheese, Gorgonzola D.O.P., butter and ricotta.
Automate the gorgonzola maturation process
whSystem, the WMS/WCS produced and distributed by Technolog, has been implemented for the management of the automatic curing system of Gorgonzola D.O.P.
The product, arranged on special scales, is stored in a maturation warehouse composed of various rooms with different air conditioning.
During the maturation process it is subjected to some processes such as drilling, tipping and brushing.
The entire process is managed automatically through the WCS that manages the movements of the stairs via LGV.
